Barrett Joinery and our Designer were given a specific brief for our new kitchen. We wanted a modern design with clean lines and inventive use of space while at the same time ensuring that it remained a warm environment that all the family would enjoy using. I think the end result is more than we could have hoped for. It is a fantastic kitchen which is beautiful and yet extremely functional as well. I particularly like the use of different textures, combining the cleanliness of our white stone benchtops with the natural warmth of the wood tones that are found throughout the kitchen. There are also numerous hidden cupboards that keep everything out of sight but close to hand when you need them. A special mention must also be made of the desk which provides a lovely place for the children to do homework or art projects whilst remaining part of the hub of the home.

Barrett Joinery provided us with superb function and aesthetic beauty in the new kitchen of our 1930s rural home. We decided not to alter the construction of any part of the existing space which had been added to in the 1970s and which had resulted in different ceiling heights, a variety of materials used and additional challenges for the Barretts team! We chose half Spanish white painted cabinets, rimu benchtops, stainless steel appliances and partially tiled walls and managed to achieve the beautiful and efficient kitchen we wanted, within a very difficult space. The display of our collection of vintage kitchenware adds a quirky element which softens the sophistication of the room. I still get a thrill each time I show my kitchen off to visitors and particularly love the corner drawers!

We are really pleased with our LouvreTec as now we can utilize our outdoor area more often due to the fact of being able to open and close the roof; allowing us that option of an outdoor area we can use all year around. Thanks Barretts for a great job.

We recently got new LouvreTec roofing over the terrace on our new home. What a difference, the roof was installed on time with no problems. This has made a real feature to our home, the colour matches the rest of the home perfectly. It has extended our living areas bringing the outdoors indoors. It makes the terrace so much more livable in all weather as it is waterproof, with the adjustable louvres it can also be closed in cold winds so we can use this space almost every day. Thank you Barretts for a job well done we are very pleased.
